بمناسبة افتتاح فعاليات المسابقة
من
المعروف أن السينما أضحت من أكثر فنون العصر تأثيراً وفاعلية، فمن
جهة يعتبر إنتاجها عابراً لجميع الثقافات ومحفوراً في ذاكرة
الشعوب، ومن جهة أخرى فإن الفن السابع يتمتع بمقدرة عالية على
تصوير خصوصية ثقافة كل شعب وتجسيد عاداته وتقاليده، آماله
وطموحاته.
وهيئة
أبوظبي للثقافة والتراث في إطار تطبيق استراتيجيتها للحفاظ على
التراث الثقافي لإمارة أبوظبي والانفتاح على ثقافات جميع الشعوب
والحضارات، باشرت وفور تأسيسها لتكثيف الجهود وحشد الطاقات في عدد
من المجالات الفنية والتقنية الرئيسية، والعمل على تأسيس القاعدة
المناسبة لإنتاج أعمال سينمائية بكوادر محلية تمثل ثقافتنا، وتعكس
صورتنا الحضارية.
ومن
هذا المنطلق فقد أطلقنا العديد من المشروعات التي تعمل على تنشيط
الفن السابع وتفعيل دوره في المجتمع، ونشر الثقافة السينمائية على
اختلاف وتعدّد تياراتها وتوجهاتها، وخاصة عبر دعم المواهب الشابة
والعمل على تطويرها، ومساندتها من أجل تقديم الأفضل.
ولقد
شكلت مسابقة أفلام من الإمارات منذ انطلاقتها واحة يجتمع فيها
السينمائيون الإماراتيون، وقدمت إلى الساحة الثقافية عدداً من
الوجوه السينمائية المتميزة.. وها هي اليوم بعد وصولها إلى دورتها
الجديدة تواصل عطائها، وتفتح مزيداً من الأبواب أمام السينمائيين.

تأتي الدورة السابعة من مسابقة "أفلام من الإمارات" في حلة جديدة
تزينها إنجازات دورات مضت ويجملها روح التحدي لتحقيق المزيد في
دورات تالية.
إننا في سعينا لتحقيق أهداف هذه المسابقة الوطنية نقدم في هذه
الدورة صورة مضيئة لثقافتنا وموروثنا الحضاري من خلال أفلام
أنتجتها يد المبدعين من أبناء وطننا ...
كما تقدم أفلام هذه الدورة مظهراً فنياً جميلاً لتراث الأباء
والأجداد يقدرها المشاهد ويثمنها أصحاب الذوق الرفيع.
وفي سعينا الى التميز بادرنا في تبني أفلام الخيال العلمي بهدف
التنوع وإضافة طيف سينمائي جديد يدعم الفكر الإبداعي وينمي روح
الإبتكار في عملنا السينمائي المحلي.
يشارك في هذه الإنجازات وهذا التحدي ضيوف كرام من إخواننا في دول
مجلس التعاون تفضلوا بمشاركتنا احتفالنا هذه الدورة بأفلام جديدة
وأعمال رائعة.
سيكون لأصحاب الفكر الهادف والعمل الجاد نصيباً موفوراً من التقدير
والإهتمام...

Films from Emirates Competition Administration,
organized by ADACH announced some changes and amendments on its
seventh session and current one, in line with the objectives of
the Authority to invite innovators and activate film making
locally and regionally. The competition has been amended to
include not only UAE films, but also world culture and UAE
heritage, provided that part of the shared film is produced in
the UAE
Moreover, Awards’ value has been increased to
AED 1,025,000 instead of AED 20,000
Production Award has been doubled, AN Arabian
Gulf film makers added, three Awards for UAE long film scenario
writing presented by ADACH to enhance film making
Deadline for receiving participations in this
competition is February 1, 2008, whereas deadline for receiving
participations in the other categories of the Award will be
January 15, 2005. In addition, five scholarships will be offered
to the winners of the previous competitions in order to study at
Abu Dhabi Film Academy. The winners will attend Cannes
International Film Festival escorted by a delegation from ADACH
With effect from the eighth session, Films from
Emirates Competition will join the Middle East International
Film Festival and UAE, Gulf long Film Competition organized by
ADACH. Both Sorouh Properties Company and Abu Dhabi Media
sponsor this current competition and contribute many prizes.
Films from Emirates is a competition for making
short films that are produced in the UAE. It was launched in
2001 and was embraced by the Cultural Foundation. The aim was to
lay the foundation for a UAE film industry and gather innovative
human resources from all the UAE to create an image that
reflects real life in the UAE, represent or embody the identity
of the UAE people and highlight its elements of rich heritage.
Due to the
great interest from UAE students, amateurs and professionals, it
has become an annual official competition since 2002 and
comprised students and the public (amateurs and professionals).
The categories of the competition are as follows: Short
Narrative Film, Short Documentary Film, Cartoons and Publicity
Films. Science Fiction Films have been added for the sake of
variety and to enhance creativity. A long with the competition,
many events take place, such as: Presenting Arab and world
famous films, specialized workshops, lectures and seminars,
meetings with participants and Arab film directors. Many UAE
talents were discovered in all aspects of film industry. The
winning films in the previous sessions participated in a number
of Arab and international festivals and some won certificates of
appreciation
